How it works
A clear pathway, guided clinically from the start.
ORYLA is structured as an ongoing medical programme. Every step is designed so that clinical decisions stay with the appropriate clinician.
Your patient journey
Every stage, in order
Timings described are indicative. Individual circumstances may require different timing.
- 1
Online assessment
Complete your medical questionnaire and provide the information required for clinical review.
- 2
Clinical review
Your medical information is reviewed by the appropriate clinician.
- 3
Treatment decision
The clinician determines the appropriate next step for you.
- 4
Treatment begins where prescribed
Where clinically appropriate, treatment is prescribed and dispensed through the agreed clinical pathway.
- 5
First blood monitoring
Blood collection at home or at the London clinic during the early treatment period.
- 6
Clinical review at approximately 4 weeks
A booked video consultation to review progress, response and tolerability.
- 7
Further review approximately 10 weeks later
Your next scheduled clinical review, arranged with you in advance.
- 8
Continued clinical monitoring
Reviews, prescribing review and support continue throughout your programme.
- 9
Repeat blood monitoring
Approximately six months after your first blood test, subject to clinical requirements.
The online medical assessment
Your assessment collects the medical information a clinician needs in order to review your suitability. It is completed online, at your own pace.
- Personal details and date of birth
- Medical history and relevant conditions
- Current and previous medication
- Previous weight-management treatment
- Height, weight and weight history
- GP information where required
- Required consent
Appropriate verification steps may also form part of the patient pathway, in line with the final clinical protocol.
Clinical screening
Once your information is complete, your clinical file is reviewed. The possible outcomes are:
- Suitable to progress following clinical review
- Additional information required
- Video consultation required
- Additional investigation required
- Not currently clinically suitable
Clinical decisions are made by the appropriate clinician. Technology may assist with workflow and verification, but no assessment is automatically approved for prescription treatment.
Ready when you are
Completing an assessment does not guarantee prescription treatment. Your clinician will determine the appropriate next step.
