ORYLA brings medical assessment, clinical decision-making, monitoring and continuing support together in one programme. Medication is one component of that programme, where a prescribing clinician determines it is appropriate.
Clinical monitoring
Weight is only part of the picture. ORYLA's programme is intended to include blood monitoring so that wider health information can be reviewed as part of your ongoing care.
You receive the appropriate blood-collection package with consumables, instructions and return materials. Your sample is returned to the laboratory for analysis and the relevant results are reviewed clinically.
If you live in or can travel to London, you can attend the clinic pathway for your blood collection instead, with the same clinical review of your relevant results.
First blood monitoring takes place during the early treatment period, approximately month one.
Repeat blood monitoring is planned approximately six months after the first test. Exact tests and timing may vary according to individual clinical requirements.
Ongoing clinical care
Many people are sent treatment and left to manage alone. ORYLA is built the other way round — your programme continues with scheduled clinical reviews and monitoring throughout.
Prescription treatment is not guaranteed following assessment. Your assessment is reviewed by a clinician before any treatment decision is made.
